Design & components
The identity of EmiSource AI and the parts every page is built from. Switch the theme to see both; the briefing PDF uses the same colours.
The identity
The trace mark is a line through measured points ending in an open one: a figure followed back to the record it came from. The wordmark sets “Emi” in petrol and “Source” in copper; the mark is unchanged from EmiTrack.
Paper, the light theme, is the default: regulatory work is read, printed and quoted. Control room, the dark theme, is for long sessions in the queue. Headings are set in Source Serif 4, text in Inter, and every number in IBM Plex Mono with tabular figures, so columns of figures align and a number never looks like a word.
Colour
Each colour has one job. Status colours never encode quality of evidence: tiers are one hue at three weights.

The facility and categorical colours are the validated set inherited from EmiTrack v5, kept for contrast and colour-vision separation.
A figure
Every headline number is a figure: value, unit, interval where there is one, and a provenance line — basis, tier, period, and how it was made. The “i” explains a term in place.

Qualifications and findings
A caveat says what a figure is not; a finding is stated as a conclusion.
- Screening test. A screening test against a threshold, not a statutory compliance determination.
- Partial period. The last year covers the first quarter only.
Controls
Writing
The register is professional and technical throughout.
- Headings name the thing; they are not questions.
- Findings are stated as conclusions, not exhortations.
- “Facility” for a production unit; “vessel” only for the hull. “Pathway”, not “future”.
- A threshold is tested against a pathway, never built into it; a pass is “clears”, not “compliant”.
- Every number shown is a recorded figure with a provenance line, or is labelled as something else.
